The Flying Liner: Over the Icebergs!

I like its name "Aerotania" (sounds like a cool name for a band, don't you think?). This ocean liner can defy all elements and launch itself into the air, clearing all icebergs in one single "leap". This concept illustration is by H.A. Petersen, from the Judge magazine.

Trams in Siberia, "Lost" in a Forest

This tram makes its ponderous way among the taiga forest in Ust-Ilimsk, Irkutsk region:

Here is another, similarly wild, location: the 10 kilometers Puscha-Voditsa tram line going through the pine forest, near Kiev, Ukraine:

And another tram line puts passengers through the lush plant growth at Liman, near Odessa:

Mona Lisa, Iranian Style

You've seen some versions of famous Mona Lisa painting in our previous article The Lady Vanishes. This is quite different... a traditional mask from the Persian Gulf, seen in Iran (photo by Elena Senao). But the smile is similarly enigmatic, don't you think? -

Very rare picture of the Russian Tsar's favorite car... with a swastika

Emperor Nicholas II seen in 1909, near his favorite car - a French made Delaunay-Belleville, touring version.

This is not a swastika, technically, but its mirror-image. Still somewhat creepy to see it here, as well as many other occasions of using this ancient symbol in Russia and Europe throughout history.
